During your visa appointment at the US Embassy, you will have to show the DS-160, any additional forms requested and your passport.
Once your visa has been approved and you have traveled to the United States, your passport, with a valid visa, will be requested at the Port of Entry. The port of entry officer could also ask some questions to grant entry to the United States, such as purpose of your trip and details about your specific visa.
