Which citizens do not require a visa to travel to the US?
If you have a passport from any of the countries that are part of the Visa Waiver Program, you can very likely travel to the U.S. for business or pleasure without a visa, and stay up to 90 days.
There are 38 countries who are part of the program:
Andorra Australia Austria Belgium Brunei Chile Czech Republic Denmark Estonia Finland France Germany Greece |
Hungary Iceland Ireland Italy Japan Latvia Liechtenstein Lithuania Luxemburg Malta Monaco Netherlands New Zealand |
Norway Portugal San Marino Singapore Slovakia Slovenia South Korea Spain Sweden Switzerland Taiwan United Kingdom |
Keep in mind: if you are a citizen of one of these countries and also a national from Iraq, Iran, Syria or Sudan (or have traveled to any of these countries after March, 2011) you require a visa to enter the U.S. Click here for more info on the Visa Waiver Program.
Qualifying travelers still need to obtain authorization to enter the United States using the Electronic System for Travel Authorization (ESTA). Click here to obtain your authorization.
